I am certainly not an expert on painting things digitally, but the one thing that bugs me about this piece is how the lines look very pencilled in. I'm guessing you just left the original scanned in layer visible? I dunno. Can you go over it with the tablet (on a different layer) and then get rid of the original layer?

Also, he kind of reminds me of something you'd see on Flapjack. I like the waviness.
