Peacock Girl

Today in life drawing class we did some creature designs. I decided on a peacock/harpie type thing. I wish I had done something a little crazier :s oh well! Here are the results :) I'm not one to usually draw creature designs but I must say it can be pretty fun! I handed my best one in (which is far better than these) so I dont have a picture of it at the moment :( on top of it all, today was not my best drawing day (i'm pretty rusty, i'm nearly 2 weeks out of practice!) well anyways i'll stop this rambling now.

Prop Design

Here are the final prop designs for the first stage of my layout assignment. This was way too much fun :| some of these are next on my lineup of things to colour!

The Caravel

Dare I say it?? Layout is FUN *gasp*

I've never really been drawn to layout but I've recently realized it incorporates a lot of what I really like to do. The perspective and technical aspects have always thrown my interest off but I really had fun with this assignment :) well I had a lot more fun with prop design (which I will post in a few hours once its scanned and cleaned up.) Its obviously not perfect, but I'm happy with the result, especially since my feelings towards layout have done a complete 180!

This layout is based on a type of ship called a cravel, and its a pirate ship!! arrr..

A Life Drawing

Heres a life drawing :) I've actually done soo much work this past week (its been a ridiculous amount) but its definitely been one of those quantity not quality weeks :s I even animated like crazy but its just not postable at this point. Peek-a-boo?

One of the very first incarnations of "the love interest" character from my pirate project! I finished the assignment today but I wont be posting characters until they're coloured :)
